HOW WILL IT RUNS

By Engaging the community into an inclusive lunch and activity day centre that will run two days a week from 10am to 4pm. The organisation will continuously involve the local community and service users in it day to day running and activities of the organisation. We will do this by creating focus groups, one to one talks, social media, surveys and feedback mechanisms.

Southeast Is a multicultural community with rich history and heritage, most of the residents have lived and worked in its communities most of their lives. The service will aim to provide a centre that will integrate most of the communities vulnerable residents with Dementia, the elderly, physical disabilities to engage in social activities that will lead to stimulation, promote independence and fulfilment. 
“The service will adhere to the CIC act 2005. The health and social care act 2008 (amended 2014), The Care Act 2014, and provide a safe environment where services users will be given their choice, dignity, respect, and preferences to enable them to exercise their human right and independence”. 

Our service will initially focus on vulnerable LONELY and ISOLATED residents around southeast regardless of medical history who are looking for somewhere to engage in activities, socialise and /or find like-minded people. Our Services users are allowed to come along with their family members or carers.

FUN/GAMES

the Service users will be engage in several games and activists to actively participate rather than win, the service will have four (4) VOLUNTEERS at a time to assists in stimulating activities such as;
  • Chess 
  • Backgammon 
  • Pool table 
  • Dominoes 
  • Monopoly 
  • Draughts 
  • Cue sports (pool and snooker)
  • Poker 
  • And many more. 

CONVERSATION

The Service recognise some of our service user will not be interested in games but will find our volunteers as good listeners to chat with regarding any aspects of their lives including past, present and future.
